Paris, 22 October 2012 – The Online Publishers Association Europe today announced the election of its executive board members, for a mandate of two years.
Mr. Nikos Gouraros, Director of Strategy, Operations & Business Development for Digital Media at Lambrakis Press, is OPA Europe President; Mr. Claudio Giua, Development and Innovation Director at Gruppo Editoriale l’Espresso, is Vice President; Ms. Ana Pascual Fernandez, Business Director for Digital Development at Unidad Editorial, is General Secretary; and Mr. Jean-Christophe Potocki, Deputy CEO at Le Monde Interactif, is Treasurer.
Mr. Gouraros and Mr. Potocki have been fulfilling their respective roles in an interim capacity since last spring.
On his election, Mr. Gouraros said, “It is a great honor and privilege for me to cooperate with the leaders in European Digital Media. We all face the same challenges, and with the new board I am looking forward to expanding our exchanges on best practices and experiences.”
Leaving the board after two terms as Secretary, is Giorgio Riva, of RCS MediaGroup. The association extends its sincere thanks to Mr. Riva for his four years of excellent leadership.
